full life

(no subject)

1.  Last time I'll say it, for it won't matter tomorrow:  Good Evening plays tonight at SinE at 8pm.

2.  Last night was the first time that Kath and I got to hang out in what felt like weeks; of course, I ended up having to stay late at work.  But when I DID get home, all was groovy, and we finally got around to digging into our first treats from our newly-opened Netflix account.  And so we watched Inside Man, which I enjoyed greatly until I started to think about it, and now it seems kinda ridiculous.

3.  Still freaking out to Deerhoof, but also enjoying that Mew record.  There's nothing like the sensation of needing awesome new music to listen to, and then finding it and having it be more awesome than you could have reasonably expected it to be.   Of course, one reason why that sensation is so unique is because it's absurdly specific.

4.  So have you seen the ads for the William Shatner roast?  Holy Christ, what a snoozer.

5.  Not sure if it's online yet or not, but last night's Daily Show interview with Samuel L. Jackson was amazing.  Samuel Jackson ought to go ahead and legally change his middle initial to "MF", if you know what I'm saying.  And the best part - the clip they showed was the money shot.  Huzzah!
I'm still disappointed that it's the "Comedy Central" roast now, rather than the Friars' Club roast (did they have a falling-out? were old Jewish men not part of their target demo?), but I'll still TiVo this bitch just to see Patton Oswalt rip into the dude.

Whatever happens, it's going to be better than the motherfucking Pam Anderson roast. You must admit.
