1.  Great moments in Fox "journalism."

2.  I have to admit, the Wilco album is growing on me - so much so that I haven't listened to the new Arcade Fire since I bought it.  I'm especially fond of "Side With the Seeds".  Sure it's still a bit too Nels Cline-y, and a lot of Tweedy's vocal melodies are above his range, and the band as a whole sounds a bit too slick, but.... there's something about it that's refreshingly honest and sincere.  It sounds like it's 30 years old, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if that was the intent.

3.  I'd ordered the Line 6 Gearbox Plugin last week, and it finally arrived on Thursday... but I couldn't get it to work until late last night - there was something wrong with their servers, which prevented me from fully updating my software, and thus I was starting to get very pissed off.  Anyway, I played around with it a little last night, and it's pretty goddamned cool.  For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about,
I'm doing a lot of recording these days, as I've mentioned before, but it's basically impossible for me to record electric guitars and bass without making waaaayyyy too much noise.  This thing that I just bought digitally emulates a zillion awesome guitar and bass amps, so I can get great guitar/bass sounds without making a huge racket, PLUS I can make changes after I've already recorded something.  Trust me, it's awesome.

4.  Maybe it's the switch to DST, I dunno, but I am TIRED.

Work calls; back later.
Some records that I've had forever are still growing on me. The tricky ones are usually the best.
