Just got a phone call; the bad news I alluded to earlier this week just got a little worse. Not much that anybody can do, really, except to try and stay positive. So, then:

1. 27 has always been my favorite number, ever since I was a kid. I'm not specifically sure why, although it might be because a lot of my favorite atheletes wore 27 - Rodney Hampton on the Giants, Alexei Kovalev on the Rangers. Anyway, I'm considering it a positive sign that Joe Girardi is going to wear #27 as the manager of the Yankees.

2. I was doing some work last night for a scoring thing and I stumbled across a whole bunch of demos I recorded late last summer on my little handheld machine, two of which were takes of what I ended up re-recording last night (and posting in the previous entry). More to the point, it turns out that I've had my ProTools setup for almost exactly one year. Which is CRAZY. I seem to recall making some ridiculous statement, before I'd even bought anything, that I was going to finish an entire album by this past spring. Obviously, that didn't happen. BUT I must say - I'm feeling quite good, creatively speaking, and I haven't felt that way in a long time. I can't really explain why, other than I'm sure the weather is part of it - I tend to slack off big time in the summer, and then I get all crazy and work into the wee hours of the night all winter.
