Amazon broke street dates - I got Spaced and TV Funhouse in the mail yesterday.

Even though Kath caved and bought the Region 2 DVD when we were in London, the new Spaced DVD set is totally worth it, even if one of the features I was looking forward to - the "Homage-a-meter" - doesn't appear to actually be on the discs, even though it's listed on the back cover as being present. (If any of you get it, let me know if you can get it to work.) Kath wasn't home last night and would kill me if I watched it without her, but I couldn't help myself; I only watched the Patton Oswalt commentaries, which are very, very funny and as appropriately nerdy/geeky as you would hope.

Did some music last night; nothing worth keeping, as I couldn't quite get it to sound like what I was hearing in my head, but at least ideas are coming again. It's true that I feel a little bit like I'm being pulled in 3 different directions (musically speaking), but I also think that the thing I really need at this point, in terms of getting grounded, is lyrics. Lyrics have always been the hardest part for me, but I think maybe this time I should stop being so goddamned afraid of them.
