I got my new speakers yesterday; I still need to break them in a bit more, but they sound great, and at the very least it's a vast improvement over what I was using before, which were the free speakers that came with Kath's computer that she bought in 2001 or so. I'd been using headphones exclusively for recording over the last 7 or 8 years, too, and so this will be a nice break from that. I gotta say - ever since we redesigned the office, I LOVE spending time in that room. Aside from just tossing out more hidden clutter, the room feels a lot less claustrophobic now, and all my stuff is within arm's reach - I can even play the keyboard sitting down, now, which I hadn't previously been able to do. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done, but it's definitely coming together. It's much easier to feel creative in that room, which is the most important thing.

The dogs continue to wake up and whine earlier and earlier, and while it's nice to think that there are living things that love us that much, it's not nice at 2 in the morning. Especially when there's dog poop all over the place. I can not recall the last time I got 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep - hell, I can't remember the last time I got 4 hours, let alone 8. I need a mental health day or 4, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to get away with one.
