Some interesting news...

The company I'm currently temping for is relocating this weekend to its new offices; with the move comes major organizational shakeups. My supervisor told me that I'll be in a long-term assignment starting next Monday - they're gonna be recruiting for that particular desk. So I asked if I could apply for that job, and she said absolutely, that would probably make her life 1000 times easier. (Keep in mind that this woman has a nervous breakdown when she orders lunch.)

So... I might be re-joining the corporate workforce. No more timesheets, just steady, larger paychecks; health benefits; my own desk/phone/voicemail/stuff. Because, really, what's the point of temping, for me, at this point? Whatever I'd hoped to gain from temping left a long time ago. I need money and consistentcy. And a dentist.

So I've played around with my recent events page. The "Refried Paper" style is pretty nice. If I had more than 20 seconds of free time today, I'd have tweaked it a bit more... but still, I'm pretty impressed with my lacking HTML skills.

I have work for the rest of the week. (YAY!) Stuffing 10,000 envelopes. (HA HA!) Which probably means little to no computer access during working hours over the next two days. Which is probably OK, right? I mean, I haven't used this journal for serious soul-searching in a couple months.
