full life

I would love to report that upon returning from Guitar Center last night (after purchasing strings, picks, a slide, a capo, and a new DL-4), I hunkered down in my room, wrote 3 songs and mixed them down to my computer; alas, I cannot. I can, however, report that I kicked jdixon's ass on his new electronic dartboard. Well, let me qualify that - he beat me in cricket, but I repeatedly destroyed him in a high-score contest, demeaning his manhood and making him cry like the little girl he is. Plus, the Nets won. And the Yankees, behind Giambi's 3 hits (including a tie-breaking 2-run home run), stomped all over Oakland. So the night wasn't a total failure.

(from an espn.com chat with Rob Neyer)

Rob Neyer: (2:38 PM ET ) Ah, John Sterling and Michael Kay. I'll never forget that night. My first-ever chance on New York radio, and those guys spent 15 or 20 minutes tearing me apart. It got so ugly and mean-spirited that one of them e-mailed me the next day to apologize for his partner.

I betcha it was Kay who e-mailed him. There's no way Sterling'd do it.

"Neyer's wrong! ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB Neyer's wrong!"
