full life

1. Intense, productive guitars-only reherasal last night. First time I've been able to see Dumbo in actual daylight in quite a long time - the studio is pretty much right next to one of the Manhattan Bridge anchorages, and the area in general is very cinematic. I came up with a few "keeper" ideas, and they both gave me a ton of feedback for my own guitar parts, and yet the highlight of the whole rehearsal was David's impromptu Interpol impression, which was hilariously spot-on and broke us all up for a few minutes.

2. I can't friggin' believe I'm going to miss Game 1 tonight, but it's only because Kath and I (among others) are seeing EDDIE IZZARD. If I had to miss a playoff game, this would be one of the only acceptable reasons why, and so I can't really feel too bad about it. Still, though, I had a very set routine which caused the Yankees to win 3 games in a row, and so I sorta feel like my not following the routine will cause them to lose tonight. Me? Superstitious? Yes, actually.

3. I got a flu shot yesterday, and so my left arm feels like it's been punched repeatedly for about 12 hours, and now I'm starting to feel like I'm getting a cold.

More to come.

Quite a number of people have been giving me shit recently for being a Yankee fan, and how if I didn't secretly want a Cubs/Red Sox World Series then I didn't have a soul, and how I'm a bastard for liking the Yankees anyway, etc. etc. Just do me a favor, then, please - ask all the Marlins fans you can round up to root against their team as well, so that we can finally have a Cubs/Red Sox World Series, and thus bring on the Apocalypse.

Which reminds me - the Marlins are up 1-0. It's not my fault if the Cubs can't hold up their end of the bargain.
