Vin Diesel, who has been receiving an extraordinary amount of media attention in advance of today's (Friday) opening of XXX, in which he stars (see below), has told a Canadian newspaper that he turned down more than $20 million to appear a sequel to The Fast and the Furious. "I don't like to be bought," Diesel told the Toronto Sun. "I have real issues with stuff like that." Diesel said he was determined "to do the right kind of work" and decided to reject the $20-million deal that would also have given him "back end" participation that "would have gone through the roof." He added: "The reality is that I have enough money. I'm not really worried about the money. But my artistic integrity is important."
Do you get to say you have artistic integrity when you make a movie like XXX?
