- Old friends. Gretchen, Eva, Nicole, Kreg, Baird, Hoffman, Hil, Rey, Joe, Shoenig, April, Tunde, Zucker, et al.
- Playing certain songs with certain bands. The Ferns - "Weakest Link." Wanna - "Nice Dress." Every time we played those songs, something happened.
- Living in Manhattan. I love Queens, I love my apartment, I love that Kath and I are living together. And you'll get no complaints from me about the 7 train, even when it sucks on the weekend. But my 2 apartments in Manhattan were in kick-ass locations (especially when Jongre lived 3 blocks away), and there was stuff to do that was readily accessible. That being said, I'm not moving back there until I make enough money to actually afford a place the size of my current apartment, which will probably be never.
Last night was my last rehearsal with STDM. We have a gig on Thursday at Luna Lounge and then another gig on Friday at Fez, which I'll be playing piano for. And then the drinking begins.
Two random things: my company's holiday party is December 9th at NYLA, which is owned by Britney Spears and is apparently closing soon due to health code violations. Score!
Also, the woman who sits next to me (who might as well be Carmela Soprano without the mafia) has the same birthday as me. In my whole life I've met one person with my birthday -
There are a shitload of Xbox games that I'm just barely resisting purchasing. Next week is Thanksgiving, which is when my family does gift-giving, so I gotta hold on while I still can. Besides, I'm supposed to be saving up for recording equipment.
