1. Stereolab's Mary Hansen was killed in a car accident on Monday.

2. If someone asked me what I loved about Phish, I'd play them the last 6 minutes of "Pebbles and Marbles", off of their new album. Conversely, if someone asked me what turns me off about Phish, I'd probably play them "Mexican Cousin", also off of their new album. But I'd immediately turn it off after 30 seconds or so and then put on "Pebbles and Marbles" again, after dimming the lights and offering a few bong hits.

3. Kath and I watched "Goldmember" for the first time last night. Brilliance. It's as if the 2nd movie never happened.

4. Then we played some Baldur's Gate on the Xbox and kicked a lot of ass.

5. Espn's Rob Neyer can be a bit of a number-crunching curmudgeon sometimes, but I have to say that I agree with his take on the whole Pete Rose situation.
