Was there something up with the alignment of the stars yesterday? I haven't been in that good of a mood in a ridiculously long time. A lot of that has to do with how successful my trip to Virgin Records was, after work:

  • Out of Sight DVD - I've been meaning to pick this up.

  • The Sea And Cake, "One Bedroom"- While I agree somewhat with Pitchfork's review, in that Sam Prekop's voice has a somewhat limited range, I have to say that the music on this record could be the best stuff they've done, ever, and that's saying something. I defy you to listen to the opening track and not have a smile on your face.

  • Aloha, "Sugar" - jmg77, you were so unbelievably right about this album. If the TSAC album hadn't rendered me catatonic, I'd have given this a few more spins. It blew my mind, though, and I'll be all over it in a few days, once my TSAC fix is sated.

  • Jellyfish, "Spilt Milk"

  • Jellyfish, "Bellybutton" - There's really no excuse for me not owning these two albums already. Had I gotten them at the time they came out, though, they would hold a far greater value to me. Still, though, great stuff.
