1. Not only is Jose Canseco completely insane, he thinks that he's still relevant. Which would be funny if it weren't so sad.

2. I've got to give a shout-out to nothinganything, who just released his first album on jimmyether's Headphone Treats label. I've been listening to it all morning - great, great stuff.

3. I've also got to give a shout-out to one of my favorite 80s bands, Tears for Fears. "Sowing The Seeds Of Love" would rank in my top 20 songs of all time, and their other mega-hits aren't so bad, either. That said, I'm listening to their greatest hits album, and the songs that didn't become hits are kinda weak Depeche Mode-ish songs. One note of interest - I remember being struck by a song at the end of Donnie Darko which, in the chorus, had a line that went something like "I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad/ the dreams I have of dying are the best I've ever had", and I thought it sounded somewhat familiar. Well, this morning, I'm listening to this greatest hits album and suddenly, there it is - "Mad World".

4 and 5 to come shortly.
