Well, I'm back, sort of. This office causes a different sort of paranoia than my last gig. For one thing, it's quite possible that I'll have to wear a tie every day. I have about 4 ties to my name, and my most recent tie purchase was, oh, say, 8 years ago, when I was 17 and still trying to squeeze into suits intended for bar mitzvah parties long since past. I'm tempted to make a disclaimer, and say that I'm not sure how much I'll be posting, but chances are that I'll get bored and post anyway and it'll be like nothing's changed. But just in case they do sic the dogs on me, I'll be only sort-of here, unless otherwise noted. (?)

So, let's get down to business.

1. The new Radiohead record. I know that jdixon wasn't immediately impressed, but it's completely rocked my world. Additionally, it's further proof of my own brilliance, because "Dollars & Cents" has virtually the same guitar loop that I came up with, completely independently, about 6 months ago with the Ferns, and I have the rehearsal tapes to prove it.

2. Finished LOTR very late last night, and it was awesome. I'm not gonna get all geeky about it, thank you very much, but it was a great read, and a great world to live in for a little while. Now I'm totally jonesed out for the movies...

Oh, there was something else I wanted to say, and of course I can't remember a goddamned thing. Anyway, folks, be patient with me in terms of replying to comments and such, if it so happens that you absolutely need me to reply.

As for you, dlbags, I had Rick Reed on my fantasy team's bench last night, and I've been kicking myself in the ass all day. But don't get used to it.
