- By this time next year, I will:
- be 29
- be married
- be living in a new apartment in Brooklyn that Kath and I will have bought
- be owning a puppy?
- be rocking out with Good Evening, because we had BETTER have found a drummer by then
Because that's depressing, let's take an quick, off-the-cuff objective look at what's happened, both good and bad.
THE GOOD
- got married
- pretty much conquered my fear of flying
- started to figure out how not to be totally miserable at work
- got turned on to a ton of great bands
- wrote, performed and recorded soundtracks to two 6 Characters video shorts which turned out surprisingly well
- got my wisdom teeth dealt with
- also, sorta got over my fear of dentists
- became a Texas Hold'Em maniac
- got an iPod... for the wedding, of course
THE BAD
- the kidney stone
- the hell that was late September-October, with both Kath and my mother in the hospital
- didn't buy a new apartment
- didn't get a puppy
- didn't get a drummer for Good Evening
- writer's block - well, actually, creative indifference
- the ALCS
- the election
THE WIERD
Tomorrow (or perhaps later today, depending on work load): the year ahead.
