I don't know why, but I started a MySpace account today. Not having any bosses leaves me lots of idle time, I guess. Are any of you on it?
Yeah, under Jimmy Ether. Though I have to admit I haven't messed with it in months.
Cool. I don't know why I did it, but maybe after this EP gets finished I'll find something productive with it.
Yeah, I probably need to turn mine into a production bio with song samples or something lame like that. I should also get off my butt and make one for the band, since that seems to be all the rage. If it gets people to gigs... then hell yeah.

Good luck on the upcoming sessions. That'll be fun. I think it's going to be a little rough to get the tracking and mixing done that quickly, but I hope it goes well. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Out of curiosity, what is the studio setup like? Is this a ProTools thing or are you going to tape?
I'm not totally sure what the studio setup is; I know we have the option of 2-inch tape or ProTools, and I'd be surprised if we didn't use tape. I've done 5 songs in 2 days before, including mixing, but in this particular case we're losing the morning of the 1st day. Still, we're pretty rock solid in terms of our parts so I can't imagine each song taking much more than 3 or 4 takes - if that many.
Well, if your mainly just tracking everything live and overdubbing vocals, you should be fine. I was just under the impression that you guys liked to really layer on the guitars and atmosphere. Yes, go to tape if you can! :)

Can't wait to hear some roughs.
Oh, believe me, if I had my druthers I'd be slathering this EP in overdubby goodness. As it stands, though, we already have a pretty dense sound, so I'm not that disappointed. :)
