Even though the Yankees are now down to 2 pitchers, I can't help but feel like last night's 8-6 victory over the Red Sox, in Fenway, coming all the way back from a first inning 4-0 deficit, with Alex "I'm a Yankee Now" Rodriguez absolutely destroying a hanging splitter from Curt "I'm a Republican" Schilling in the top of the 9th and then with Mariano striking out the side for the save, was the best win of the season. Wang's possible season-ending injury might very well signal the end of any postseason hopes for the Yankees, especially if Randy Johnson can't get his act together; even if the Giambino looks like he might actually be back to his Oakland form, which makes the Yankee lineup incredibly formidable, you just can't win without starting pitching. Still, though, I refuse to get down about it - last night's 9th inning was that perfect.
