2. Saturday, Kath and I threw a little party at our place; it was originally just going to a birthday party, but we hadn't really shown off the apartment yet and, well, hardly anyone has seen the cutest puppies in the universe up close and personal. I sorta went apeshit and bought a ton of quality booze; I don't really drink that much these days, but now I've got a bottle of 12-year-old Glenfidditch, some Johnny Walker Black and 3 nicely aged bottles of port, including a 20-year bottle that I splurged on. I still like my Maker's, but I found myself sipping the Glen all day, and I gotta say that I'm starting to acquire a taste for single malts. If you guys can recommend any good ones - and I don't necessarily mind splurging - please let me know.
3. The rumors are that the next shipment of Xbox360s will arrive at Best Buy on December 16; in the meantime I bought myself an early birthday present - which will also double as probably the last Xbox 1 game I ever buy - the newest Prince of Persia game. I loved the hell out of the first one (the combat was clunky but the platforming was absolutely incredible, with great music and atmosphere), but the second one was so atrociously awful that I returned it without even bothering to finish it (more emphasis on the combat which still sucked, not to mention that the whimsical atmosphere of the 1st one was replaced with this horrendous faux-metal naked-chick wannabe baddass bullshit) - the third one, thankfully, reverts to the 1st game's charm and storytelling. I will never, ever, EVER get tired of the platforming stuff. I've read several reviews that imply that this game is the last of a trilogy, which is a shame because I'd love to see this game on a next-gen console...
Too tired. More to come.
