The weather, as you probably know if you were in the NYC area, was fucking incredible all weekend, and we finally got our asses onto our porch out back; we've got it all set up nicely now, and we spent a lot of time lounging. Kath's parents came over on Saturday, and we went out to brunch and then came back and looked at their pictures from their recent European jaunt.
We got caught up on Netflix; Curse Of The Golden Flower was magnificent, and Lost Highway was kinda meh. Re: Curse - if you liked the director's previous movies (Hero, House of Flying Daggers), you may be a teeny bit disappointed that there's not a tremendous amount of fight scenes; however, that will be tempered by the fact that this movie may have the most gorgeous cinematography ever - and the movie itself is really quite good. As for Lost Highway - well, I had a David Lynch craving, and I've read the DFW piece in "Supposedly Fun Thing..." about a zillion times... and I felt like renting it. I maintain that Act I is one of the creepiest 45 minute sequences in the entire Lynch canon; Acts II and III, however, just kinda fall apart.
As for this week: therapy tomorrow, dentist on Wednesday, doctor/physical on Friday, followed by a wedding this weekend up in Springfield/Holyoke.
