Holy shit, I just struck gold.

I've spent the last 3 or 4 days thinking about one of my older songs; specifically, I'm thinking about finally recording it, and changing up the original arrangement to keep it more in line with what I'm currently doing.  Problem is, I'd misplaced the lyric printout I used to have of it; but I also know that if I'd printed it out, then I must have written it down in longhand in one of my old notebooks.

Well, I just found the notebook, and OMG it's hilarious - it's from 1998-1999, and I was pretty heavily into my "bringing my notebook to a bar and drinking and writing alone" phase, but - more to the point - there's a ton of forgotten song ideas and sketches in there that I never finished.  That year was apparently somewhat of a fertile period, at least from a songwriting perspective - there's tons of cool little ideas in here, most of which instantly came back to me once I saw how they were written out.   It's a bit too late in the evening to start going through and picking them all out, but MAN - I'm SO GLAD I WROTE THIS SHIT DOWN.
