Saw "Memento" last night. Holy shit. This is now in my all-time top ten favorite films. (How very High Fidelity-esque of me.) Go see it. Now. I've been reading reviews of it all morning, which range from "flawed, but brilliant" to "flawed". Folks, they're wrong. This movie exists on many more levels than just plot. I've never seen a movie where, afterwards, at least half of the people in the theatre stood on the sidewalk, frantically smoking cigarettes and talking about what they had just seen. Hell, it took me to bottles of sake to get over the initial adrenaline rush. I'm seeing it again at least 2 more times - once just to get all the clues once and for all, and then twice just to study the lead character. It's an amazing film.

The end.
